OUR PURPOSE

We Have Been Commissioned



All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28: 18-20)

The purpose of Fountain of Life shall be to fulfill The Great Commission issued by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We shall do so by being a S.P.I.R.I.T filled church. Thus, we shall:

Save the world

We shall do so by participating in global ministries. (Mark 28:19)

Present in our home

We shall begin to fulfill the commission in our own homes. (Ephesians 6:14)

Involved in our community

We shall be involved in every aspect of our communities. (1 John 3:18)

Responsible for our neighbors

We shall act like the Good Samaritan and take responsibility for our neighbors.  (Luke 10: 25-37)

In tune to God’s will

Our actions shall be directed by His will not ours. (Matthew 6: 10)

Transparent

We shall be “truth tellers” to each other and to all authorities. (Zechariah 8:16) and (2 Samuel 12:1-9)

The Fountain of Life is a place where you can come and be spiritually fed by the Word of God. It is a place where you can come and be restored by drinking from the Living Water. We are a place to belong…believe…and become all that God intends for you. 

The Fountain of Life is a Methodist church located in Scottsdale, AZ, which was founded in August 2006 by a group of 12 individuals, following in the footsteps of the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 disciples. Our founding and current pastor is Rev. Dr. Cathy Clardy Patterson.

The Fountain of Life is a place where you will be celebrated! Let us become “Your Oasis in the Desert.”

OPERATING PRINCIPLES

To accomplish our purpose we shall be dedicated to the following operating principles:

• We will seek out the unchurched and encourage them to join or reconnect with the body of Christ.
• We shall create an inclusive environment where all people feel welcome.
• We will teach the Word of God and Worship Him.
• The preached word will be relevant to daily life.
• We shall model ourselves based upon the example set by Jesus and not pattern ourselves after society.
• We shall preach love and will exhibit it through our actions by ministering to the needs of people inside and outside the walls.
